Vatché Vorpérian has been a senior member of the technical staff at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory since 1991 where he works on research and development of power electronics circuits for space applications and MEMS devices for micro seismometers and micro gyroscopes. He graduated from the California Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1984 and joined the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department at Virginia Tech as an Assistant Professor in the same year. In 1991 he was promoted to Associate Professor and granted Tenure. He has taught numerous professional advancement courses to industry in Power Electronics and Analytical Techniques in Electronics Circuit Analysis. He has published over 35 papers and is the author of an upcoming book titled "Fast Analytical Methods in Electrical and Electronic Circuits" published by Cambridge University Press.
